11 injured after man drives into festival crowd in France

Paris [France], April 24:Eleven people were injured when a man drove his car into a crowd at a kite festival in northern France. Several media outlets reported that the driver had confused the accelerator and brake pedals and lost control of the car. There are no signs that the accident was caused deliberately or any indications that the man was intoxicated at the time. The driver was among the 11 who were hurt in the incident in the coastal town of Berck-sur-Mer. Four of the victims are in critical condition. The festival, which lasts several days, draws several hundred thousand visitors annually.
