At least 50 injured in bus, truck collision in eastern Germany

Berlin [Germany], May 10: About 52 people were injured, 10 of them seriously, after a collision between a bus and a truck in the eastern German state of Brandenburg at midday on Tuesday, according to police. Most of those injured were passengers of the Polish coach travelling in the direction of Berlin, police said. A spokeswoman for the Oder-Spree district spoke of one person with life-threatening injuries.
According to Polish police, the injured are all Polish citizens. They are employees of a German company, a spokesman for the police station in Gorzow Wielkopolski told dpa in Warsaw on Tuesday. The injured were all adults, according to Polish Consul Marcin Krol. German officials did not name the destination of the coach. The exact number of passengers was also unclear at first. (DPA)
