Billionaire Elon Musk was sued for allegedly not paying benefits to former leaders, with a total amount of nearly 130 million USD.

California [US], March 5: AFP on March 5 reported that Twitter's former top leaders sued Elon Musk for not paying them nearly $130 million after the billionaire took over the social media company and fired them.
"Mr. Musk failed to pay the bills, claimed the rules did not apply to him, and used his wealth and power to trample on anyone who disagreed," according to the lawsuit filed in court. federal state in California on March 4.
Among the plaintiffs are former CEO Parag Agrawal, who is seeking $57.4 million in benefits, as well as former Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal, who is seeking $44.5 million.
The other plaintiffs are the company's former chief legal officer Vijaya Gadde and former general counsel Sean Edgett.
Billionaire Musk fired leaders Agrawal, Gadde and Segal at the end of October 2022, after completing the controversial $44 billion takeover of Twitter. This social network was later renamed by Mr. Musk to X.
According to the lawsuit, Mr. Musk then refused the severance pay that Twitter had promised to former leaders for years before it was acquired by him.
The plaintiffs said they "appropriately and vigorously represented the interests of Twitter's public shareholders throughout Mr. Musk's wrongdoing," and that this led Mr. Musk to "vow revenge forever".
Mr. Musk has not commented on the lawsuit, according to Reuters.
