Continue to postpone the election of Thai Prime Minister

Bangkok [Thailand], August 4: Speaker of the House of Representatives of Thailand Wan Muhamad Noor Matha yesterday announced the postponement of the vote to elect the prime minister in the parliament previously set for August 4, according to the Bangkok Post.
The decision came shortly after Thailand's Constitutional Court delayed a ruling on parliament's removal of the nomination of Progressive Party (MFP leader Pita Limjaroenrat for the post of prime minister. "We have to wait for the Constitutional Court to issue a ruling on August 16 before deciding when to vote again," Wan Noor told reporters.
On August 2, political parties in the eight-party coalition formed by the MFP after the May 14 general election announced that the MFP had been removed from the coalition. The Pheu Thai party then announced it would seek to form a new coalition without the MFP and would nominate businessman SretthaThavisin (60 years old) for the post of prime minister, according to Reuters. However, so far it is not certain who is most likely to become the new Prime Minister of Thailand.
