Czech Republic and Russia swap barbed tweets on human rights

Prague [Czech Republic], July 27: The Czech Foreign Ministry reacted sharply on Wednesday to Russian criticism of its treatment of Roma people and other minority groups.
Moscow accused the Czech Republic of restricting freedom of speech, discriminating against minority groups andengaging in Russophobia in a tweet published in English on Tuesday.
"Czechia has chronic problems that the authorities of the country do not intend to solve, engaging instead in destructive foreign policy actions. The recent years mark a continued 'slide' of Prague to a Russophobic course," the Russian Foreign Ministry's tweet said.
The Czech Foreign Ministry responded sharply on Twitter, "Chronic problems of Czechia: we don't kidnap children,
bomb hospitals, and occupy neighbours. Get out ofUkraine." (DPA)
