London [UK], October 22: British King Charles III on Monday faced a protester during his visit to Australia. Charles faced a protester who told him "you are not my King" and "you destroyed our land" after he gave a landmark speech in Australia about his relationship with the country. Charles had just finished speaking and was receiving applause from the crowds at Government House in Canberra when a woman moved into the aisle and berated him for around 30 seconds. With Queen Camilla and Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also on the stage in the building's great hall, the protester said: "You destroyed our land, give us a treaty - we want a treaty, we want a treaty with this country. "This is not your land, this is not your land, you are not my King, you are not our King." The six-day trip to Canberra and Sydney, which started on Friday, is Charles's first to a realm - countries where he is head of state - since he became monarch following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The king and queen will later travel to Samoa for a three-day state visit and meet world leaders taking part in a Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting which Charles will formally open.
