Ulan Bator [Mongolia], October 9: Mongolia's foreign trade turnover rose by 13 percent year-on-year, reaching 20.4 billion U.S. dollars in the first three quarters of this year, according to data released by the Mongolian Customs General Administration on Wednesday.
The Asian country reported a surplus in its foreign trade balance, with exports exceeding imports by approximately 3.2 billion dollars, primarily driven by a significant increase in the export of mining products, said the administration.
Mining products accounted for 93.2 percent of the mineral-rich country's total exports in the nine-month period.
China remained Mongolia's foremost export destination and import source in the period, accounting for 91.5 percent and 39.8 percent, respectively.
