Russia replaces deputy defence minister

Moscow [Russia], May 1: Russia's Defence Ministry announced it has replaced one of deputy defence ministers. Colonel General Alexei Kuzmenkov has been appointed to oversee the material and technical supply of the army, the ministry said on Sunday. He was previously deputy director of the National Guard. Kuzmenkov took over Mikhail Mizintsev's role, who had only held the post since last September. Russian Defence Minister has 12 deputies in total.(DPA)
