Singaporean police arrest 306 for scam

Singapore, March 3: Singaporean police arrested 306 suspects, aged between 15 and 73, for scam offenses during an operation from Feb. 16 to Feb. 29, according to a recent statement from police.
The suspects were involved in over 1,000 cases, including friend impersonation scams, e-commerce scams, job scams, investment scams and internet love scams.
Police said the victims lost over 11 million Singapore dollars (8.2 million U.S. dollars).
The suspects were under investigations for cheating, money laundering, or providing payment services without a license.
