Trump appoints retired general as Ukraine and Russia special envoy

Washington [US], November 29: US President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Keith Kellogg, a retired US Army lieutenant general, to serve as his special envoy to Ukraine and Russia.
Kellogg served as chief of staff in the National Security Council during Trump's first term in office between 2017 and 2021, as well as national security advisor to Mike Pence, the vice president at the time. Kellogg had led "a distinguished Military and Business career," Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social. "He was with me right from the beginning! Together, we will secure PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH, and Make America, and the World, SAFE AGAIN!" (DPA)
