Ukrainian, Kazakh presidents hold phone talks on ties

Kyiv [Ukraine], February 3: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone conversation with his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to discuss bilateral ties, Zelensky's press service reported Friday.
The intensification of bilateral trade, economic relations and political dialogue was touched upon at the talks.
Zelensky thanked the Kazakh people and businesses for providing humanitarian aid for Ukraine.
The two parties also discussed the Ukrainian Peace Formula and the preparations for the Global Peace Summit on Ukraine.
Zelensky and Tokayev stressed the importance of adhering to the fundamental principles of international law with regard to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.
The conversation marked the first phone talks between Zelensky and Tokayev since February 2023, according to media reports.
